When Michelle and Dave decided to go solar, they approached choosing an installer the same way they handled other big home projects: with a lot of research. They talked to people who had already gone solar, they spoke to people who were getting solar and they conducted their own extensive review online.

“Astrum Solar really stuck out,” says Michelle. “They covered every aspect themselves and were out in the open about everything on their website. It reassured me in every possible way, and when it came time to meet with the sales person, I had very few questions.”

Last summer, before solar, our electric bill was $300 a month on average. This summer our bill ranged from $40 to 60 a month.

The couple wanted to get a system big enough to cover at least half their electricity usage, but didn’t have enough south-facing roof space to meet this goal. Instead of being deterred, they simply found a perfect spot in their backyard to add a pole-mounted system.

“We use a lot of electricity,” says Michelle. “Last summer, before solar, our electric bill was $300 a month on average. This summer our bill ranged from $40 to 60 a month, and now we are more protected from utility rate increases.”

“You don’t usually find a company that does everything they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to it, and actually gets it done right,” explains Michelle. “Even when Astrum came back to reseed around the pole mount and the trench, they did an excellent job. The whole process was painless – actually turnkey. I pretty much did nothing.”
